Esto es "Delta puro y duro", una grabación de Stud Terkel quien entre canción y canción va entrevistando a Son House (las entrevistas las he agrupado al final ya que eliminarlas sería un "crimen"). Aquel que subiera originariamente esto (la grabación de la emisión) lo hizo fatal ya que prácticamente solo se escucha el canal derecho cuando claramente es una grabación estereofónica y no creo que la emisión fuera "tan cutre". Lo que he hecho es aumentar un 70-80% el canal izquierdo con "el balance" y para compensar subir el nivel entre 12 y 13 dBs. "Viendo" cualquier tema en el Audacity se observaba (lo que se escuchaba) que el canal izquierdo era casi un tenue línea pero con contenido ya que se podía escuchar por los monitores pero mucho, mucho más bajo que el canal derecho. Un desastre que lo único que hace es "joder" la escucha, así que he realizado un "apaño" aunque probablemente sea un poco cutrecillo... no he sabido "llegar a más".

EDITING NOTES:
This amazing stereo recording, taken from the soundboard master reel, showcases Taj Mahal in all his early 70's crossover blues glory. A lot of the material here is also available on the official Taj Mahal live recording from the same venue, recorded just a few months earlier, 1972's The Real Thing.
My efforts to improve the sound quality of this recording, which is already superb, were minimal and include light tweaking of the frequency spectrum to eliminate some flatness and unbalanced frequency levels. I tried to focus on not altering the overall dynamic of the recording, which would eliminate the original feel of the music, while taking out some of the more subtle flaws.
I included artwork that I put together from what I could find that would sort of fit with the recording since there seems to be nothing available to my knowledge! First I had to determine the titles of most tracks, which were somewhat mislabelled by the original seeder of the source recording, who I am forever grateful to for providing such a recording!! No worries!! I managed to find the proper titles for every song but the first one! The original tracklisting is kept the same as the source with one difference: I seperated track 1 into 2 tracks since it contained 2 songs, the unknown song and Gone Fishin'.
I am aware that this show could fit on one disc if some of the dead air is taken out but I decided not to do this, in efforts to keep the recording as original and complete as possible, even if it contains some near silent periods. This is what happened at the show so it's included!
If anyone knows the title of the first song with 100% confidence, let me know so I can fix the artwork!! Until then, enjoy Taj Mahal!

"February 6, 1980 - Elvis Costello and the Attractions are masquerading under a different name to play a surprise concert in Liverpool. They're working out new material and didn't want the pressure of an audience of reviewers. They were slotted in as the third act at the bottom of a bill featuring Rockpile (with Dave Edmunds and Nick Lowe) and the Fabulous Thunderbirds.
Nobody really expected much from the "Horace Barlow Band" until they took the stage and the crowd caught on. Elvis played it straight onstage, even down to introducing the band under the fake name. At one point in the show he managed a not-too-subtle dig when introducing a new song called "The Impostor" and dedicating it to his "...great friends, The Jags."  Elvis would repeat the surprise performance the next night in Bradford."

Hoy estoy jodido y no he podido continuar......, ¿porqué estoy jodido y no he podido continuar cuando tenía dos conciertos más para "subir" (uno de Van y otro de Costello?), porqué estoy "tocando fondo" en toda esta miseria PP y de sus periódicos "de libelo", tv infames y gran miseria humana repugnante del "colega de un narcotraficante".... ¿y la homicIDA "disfrutando" de pisazo (dos en realidad) y Ferrari de un defraudador confeso al que defiende como si fuera "cargo público de la CAM", cuando "solo se encama con él".... soy "suave"....

  Este poema de Gabriel Celaya / canción de Paco Ibañez ha sido "un referente en mi vida" desde que tenía ¿14 años?, en esta interpretación (disco prohibido en el españistán fascio-franquista) que "afortunadamente" sí se escuchaba en casa de mis padres y en las de mis tíos, al igual que se escuchaba a Raimon......

Muchas veces en mi vida, hoy también, la he escuchado dos, tres... cuatro veces seguidas; antes para recordar el tremendo sufrimiento ·de la gente decente", para no olvidar "la bazofia que nos comimos y sufrimos" y ahora para tener presente la gran cantidad de "herederos bazofianos" que sigue habiendo "con disfraz de demócratas".....

La "chusma" que intenta hacerme creer que "ETA puso las bombas en los trenes" para ganar / no perder una elecciones NO tiene ningún derecho a hablar de Bildu, de los que paso ampliamente... yo tengo las manos limpias y puedo pasar... esos NO las tienen porque "chalanear" ese mismo día y al siguiente con cientos de muertos y heridos es UNA INFAMIA que jamás perdonaré mientras respire....

Dicho esto, si el Presidente del Gobierno LEGÍTIMO dimite yo también dimitiré..... es una decisión completamente firme que, evidentemente, no implicará que no se puedan seguir "bajando" los conciertos, solo que no habrá más.....

Ramón, vivimos días oscuros. Pero solo engañan a los que se dejan engañar.
Hay que dejar un hueco para la esperanza.
